China Port Information

According to the General Administration of Customs, the import and export volume between China and 17 countries of Central and Eastern Europe (including 11 EU member states) reached US$67.98 billion in 2007, up 15.9% year-on-year, slightly higher than the 15.5% growth rate between China and the EU, and also higher than the 14.2% growth rate of China's overall import and export volume.These remarkable data shows that, as an important part of Sino-EU relations, the "中东欧" cooperation enjoys strong momentum and great potential in economic and trade cooperation. According to Chinese Customs statistics, in 2017, China's total import and export trade with 17 countries in Central and Eastern Europe was 49.49 billion US dollars, an increase of 13.1%, and imports of 18.49 billion US dollars, an increase of 24%. Bilateral trade between China and 17 Central and Eastern European countries has all maintained a good growth momentum, bilateral trade structure has been constantly optimized, and trade areas have been expanding. Shanghai Port

In 2017, the container throughput of Shanghai Port exceeded 40million 230 thousand TEUs , setting the highest record in the history of global port container transport and ranking first in the world for eight consecutive years. It has completed cargo throughput of 7.51 million tons, ranking second (data source: Express Statistics of 2017). Port business mainly includes loading and unloading, warehousing, logistics, ship towing, pilotage, shipping agent, tally, sea-rail combined transport, transit services and waterway passenger transport services. The port mainly operates cargo containers, coal, metal ore, petroleum and its products, steel, mining materials, machinery and equipment.

Ningbo Zhoushan Port

In 2017, Ningbo Zhoushan port, with a cargo throughout of 1.01 billion tons, ranking the world's largest port. It has 24 million 607 thousand TEUs of containers, ranking the fourth in the world (data source: Express Statistics of 2017). Foreign trade exports mainly include traditional silk textiles, hardware, food and handicrafts. Agriculture is mainly made of grain, cotton and oil, and millions of tons of rice are exported every year.

Statistics shows that the trade volume between Ningbo and central and eastern European countries reached us $2.92 billion in 2017, an increase of 23.5 percent year-on-year. The proportion of China’s imports increased from 4% to 4.3%, of which imports increased by 74.6% compared with the same period last year, which is three times the increase of the Central and Eastern European commodity imports(Data source: General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China). In 2017, Ningbo Zhoushan port and central and Eastern Europe four port cargo transport volume reached 284 thousand and 800 TEUs, an increase of 37.6% over the same period.

According to statistics, there were 3147 batches of inbound inspection and quarantine goods from central and eastern European countries in Ningbo port in 2017, with a value of 235 million 630 thousand dollars, increased by 19.1% and 25.6% respectively compared with the same period last year. The value of goods exported to central and Eastern Europe for export inspection and quarantine is 114 million 180 thousand US dollars, an increase of 55.6%. Shenzhen Port

Container throughput was 25 million 250 thousand TEUs in 2017, an increase of 5.3% over the previous year. It has completed cargo throughput of 2.4 million tons. Hong Kong port

The volume of containers of Hong Kong Port was 20.76 million TEUs in 2017, an increase of 4.5% over the previous year. Polish port

GDANSK: Gdansk Port had a throughput of 36 million tons and a container throughput of 1.09 million standard containers in 2015.
